- Where is the Senior Center?
We are located on Third Street, a block and a half West of the
Paul and Babe statues, across from Wells Fargo Bank and TKz Closet. Our
address is 216 Third Street NW, Bemidji, MN 56601
- I need a place to have a meeting or event, can I use the
Senior Center? Yes, we rent space for meetings
and events. If you are a member, you can rent the space for half price.
We rent space for meetings, graduation open houses, birthday parties, etc.
Our dining hall rents for $75 for Members or $150 for Nonmembers. Our
Conference Room rents for $15 for Members or $30 for Nonmembers. Other
space rented upon request. You can be any age to rent space.
- How old do you have to be to be a member?
You can be any age! Our members currently range
between 18 and 101 so you can be any age. You can even sign up your
grandchildren for membership to help preserve the Senior Center for when they
grow up.
- How long is a membership good for?
It is good for one calendar year, January through December.
Our Membership Drive begins in November but you can sign up for membership at
any time of the year.
- Is signing up for membership hard?
No, it is very easy. You can click on the "How to Join"
button above and print off an application, fill it out, and mail it or you can
stop in the Center and fill one out at the front desk. It's that quick
and easy.
- Will I be expected to be a volunteer if I become a
member? No, that is a personal choice that you
can make. If you can volunteer, just mark it on your application but if
you don't want to volunteer, that is just fine also.
- I don't feel like a Senior, so is the Senior Center for
me? It doesn't matter what your age is or if
you consider yourself a Senior or not, you can still come and participate in
the activities, become a member, enjoy our events and make new friends.
Everyone is welcome.
- Are the Bus Trips just for Seniors?
No, our bus trips are for everyone. The only bus trip
that we take that has an age requirement is the Casino, which is age 18 or
older.
