Energy Assistance Program (EAP)

• Helps low income households pay a portion of their home heating bills.

• Eligibility and grant levels are based on the household income, household size and the amount of energy a dwelling uses.

• If the household is eligible to receive a grant it is sent directly to the vendor.  If the heat type is wood, the grant is paid to the electric company.

• Households must provide proof of income when they apply.

• Homeowners may also be eligible for repair or replacement of inadequate or nonfunctioning heating systems.
