We are Darold & Judy Krenz. We live on a farm in Northern Minnesota, at Kelliher. Kelliher has a population of approximately 350 people. It is a farming and logging community. We have spent our whole lives as farmers, we enjoy the life.
For many years I have wanted to make soap. I watched my grandmother Rosa pour her unscented, uncolored homemade soap into her soap molds and later take a bar of her homemade soap and slice off thin pieces to add to her washing machine. it was fascinating and intriguing for me.
Off and on for many years I dreamed of making homemade soap. Being able to use products from our farm, to produce the soap,was something I thought would be wonderful. It wasn't until many years later that a friend of mine said she was going to make soap. I jumped at the chance to learn how. We made a batch of soap together and that was all that it took. And as they say, the rest is history.
