ROACH FAY Cynthia Pelletier (for  Shelly Roach)  16 Jun 1998
I am looking for information on a variety of people known to have lived in Stephen, Minnesota in the early 1900's. 7April 1912 Kenneth William ROACH was born to William Edward ROACH (b. 1879 Iowa) and Mary Jane FAY (b. 1891 MN?). There was a sibling, Erma Fay ROACH born in January of 1910. There is some indication that Mary Jane FAY might have been connected to a Lawrence FAY who started some of the larger businesses in Stephen, MN in the early 1900's.

I am also looking for information on a Thomas Dean ROACH who died 24 Feb 1914 in Stephen, MN and is buried in the RC cemetary of St. Stephen Church.

Married a few times once to Sophia Beausoleil from wisconsin territory birth to Licktil 1877 and Pete 1874
I have some records from a church book with photos from the town of Argyle (sp) on my wifes gg by the name of Zephyr Perreault born in quebec1831 died in Argyle and then who daughter married a Ed Saurdiff or sourdiff. where might records be available as I think they must have come into us via red river trail to winnepeg (no trains in1870's) any hints would be helpful. ontario now has an on line census but I do not know if canadian's had to fill any papers to come to minn overland like

I am looking for information on a Harrison Knight and family who were residents of Grygla, Marshall County in 1906. His was born in 1856 in PA and wife, Sarah Knight was born in Iowa in 1881. She remarried a Cyrus Wood. Any information on these three people and their children.
Actually any information on the Knight family who who may have been in that area.

I have database of well over 10,000 names and can trace most of these surnames back to their Europeon orgins:  DESCHENES  MORIN  GOULET  PARENT  SCHILLER
I will search my database of surnames to provide the information that I have on these families. I will do lookups of families that are in the St Rose of Lima Centennial Book.

Alfred VAN VALIN died in Marshall, Minn. in 1923. He was born in Racine, Wisconsin, in 1847.
His wife was Adelaide "Addie" SEATON, who died in Marshall in 1921. She was born in Frankford, Kentucky, in1845.
I believe they moved to Nebraska before their daughter, Frances Jane VAN VALIN, was born in 1872.
