Travis Peterson lives and breathes bass fishing.  Some might find this unusual for an angler hailing from the north-central Minnesota community of Bemidji.   However, despite sporting a short open water season, this northern state is a bass angler’s paradise.  While most MN anglers target species such as walleye, northern pike, and panfish, the healthy populations of largemouth and smallmouth bass are generally overlooked.

Television and print media have discovered Travis’ fishing skills and ability to share his knowledge with the angling public.  A regular guest on television productions such as “Fishing the Midwest with Bob Jensen” and “Butch  Furtman’s Sportsman’s Journal”, Travis is comfortable in front of the camera.  He also writes fishing related articles as seen on this website and published in numerous outdoor magazines.  Other outdoor writers call on Travis for contributions and interviews.

Testing his knowledge and skills in competitive bass fishing events is a passion for Travis.  It allows him to continually hone his skills as an angler and monitor the pulse of the industry.  Tournaments serve as a proving ground for tackle and equipment.  Within competitive angling circles, Travis learns of
tips, techniques, and tools that produce winning results.
