Top twenty feet was to go on the same day, but the wind was too strong so we came back at 6am the next morning.  The next day was just right, it was a very still morning and the top section was lowered on very smoothly.

By noon, the Bemidji Fire Tower was standing at camp wilderness. Later on during the next few weeks we had to add more step rails and fencing along the steps.

I would like to point out that if it wasn’t for Steve Inkel and son Ehren Inkel of Diversified Builders of Bemidji, MN, the project would have not happen.  They provided the crane, trucks, help and time to make this project a reality.

Steve is and has been a Scout Master for many years and has given much of his free time and money to help the Boy Scouts in the Bemidji area.  A warm, Thank You Steve,  for your help.
